Triathlon Industry Alliance: Growing Together
Triathlon Industry Alliance (TIA) continues to build momentum, with membership growing and an increasingly broad group of organisations coming together to support, connect and strengthen the triathlon industry.
As we look ahead, we want to take a moment to say thank you to our existing TIA members for your continued support, contribution and belief in the value of bringing the industry together.
Since TIA joined forces with Running Industry Alliance, our ambition has remained clear: to create a strong, connected and independent industry community that gives businesses across triathlon a voice, creates opportunities to share knowledge and helps shape the future of the sport.
That work is only possible because of our members.
We started with a new TIA Website easy to navigate and with additional information.
Welcoming new members
We are delighted to see new organisations continuing to join TIA, adding fresh perspectives, expertise and energy to the Alliance.
From brands, retailers and event organisers to technology, services, coaching and other businesses supporting participation, the strength of TIA comes from bringing different parts of the industry together.
Every new member adds something to the conversation.
And this growth is not simply about numbers. It is about creating a stronger, more representative community and making sure different voices, experiences and ideas have a place within the industry conversation.
Tri It Forward: welcoming the next cohort
A great example of this is Tri It Forward, our initiative designed to support and connect emerging businesses and organisations within triathlon.
We are delighted to be welcoming a number of new members as part of the next Tri It Forward cohort (2026/2027), giving them the opportunity to become part of the TIA community, connect with established industry businesses and gain exposure to the wider triathlon ecosystem.
A special thank you goes to Stuart at World of Triathlon LIVE for his continued support and for working with us on Tri It Forward.
We are particularly looking forward to welcoming the new cohort to Triathlon Industry Conference 2026, where they will have the opportunity to meet and connect with the wider industry in person.
Growing the TIA community and conversation
As TIA grows, so does our commitment to making the Alliance more visible, accessible and useful to the industry.
We have recently launched a new TIA Instagram presence and are continuing to build our LinkedIn community, with the TIA team sharing member news, celebrating member achievements and amplifying relevant industry stories across our channels.
This is an important part of our role to amplify and share members industry news.
We want to put our TIA Members in the spotlight.
If you have news, launches, campaigns, appointments, research, events or stories that you would like the wider TIA community to know about, we want to hear from you!
More data. More insight. Better understanding.
Data and insight will also continue to play an increasingly important role within TIA.
We are continuing to develop the Endurance Sport Survey, building on the work already undertaken across the endurance sport community and looking at how participation, behaviours, motivations and purchasing decisions are evolving.
Alongside this, we are developing an enhanced Understanding the Market programme, with a new version of Triathlon Participation Analysis launching in 2027.
Together, these projects form part of a broader ambition to provide members with better evidence, deeper insight and a clearer understanding of the markets in which they operate — across both running and triathlon.
We believe the industry is stronger when businesses have access to meaningful, independent insight that helps inform decisions and shape future opportunities.
Building stronger links between running and triathlon
The continued development of TIA also sits alongside the growth of Running Industry Alliance (RIA).
The relationship between the two Alliances is becoming increasingly important as the boundaries between running and triathlon continue to naturally evolve.
We are actively building dual membership opportunities, with RIA members joining TIA and TIA members engaging with RIA, creating greater connectivity between the two communities.
This means members can benefit from a broader network, wider industry conversations, shared insight and greater access to businesses operating across endurance sport.
One community does not replace the other > together, they create a stronger ecosystem.
A new industry events calendar
We are also developing a dedicated TIA Calendar of Events, bringing together key industry events, conferences, meetings and opportunities in one place.
The aim is simple: make it easier for the TIA community to see what is happening across the industry, plan ahead and identify opportunities to connect.
The calendar will sit alongside our wider programme of member activity and events, including Triathlon Industry Conference.
Get involved: working groups
TIA is also looking for members who want to get more involved in shaping the Alliance.
Our Working Groups provide an opportunity for members to contribute expertise, raise issues, share ideas and help develop initiatives that have a genuine impact across the industry.
If there is an area where you have expertise, experience or simply a desire to contribute, we would love to hear from you.
TIA works best when our Members help shape it.
Looking ahead to Triathlon Industry Conference
One of the key opportunities for the TIA community to come together this year will be Triathlon Industry Conference powered by GiveWheel (TIC26), taking place on Monday 7th December 2026 at Loughborough University, alongside The Running Conference presented by haku.
TIC26 is an important moment in the TIA calendar > bringing the triathlon industry together for a dedicated programme of insight, discussion, networking and conversation around the opportunities and challenges shaping the sport.
Being held alongside The Running Conference also creates a unique opportunity to bring the wider endurance sport community together, recognising the increasing crossover between running, triathlon, events, participation, technology, retail and the businesses supporting both sports.
We look forward to welcoming TIA members, the Tri It Forward cohort, industry leaders, partners and guests to Loughborough in December.
We will continue our evening where TIA x RIA Members come together for another great evening of “let the games begin again”. More details can be views on the deviated conference page.
Thank you to our partners and supporters
A strong industry alliance is built through collaboration, and we are fortunate to work alongside organisations that share our commitment to the future of triathlon.
We want to recognise and thank GiveWheel for their continued support of the Triathlon Industry Conference. Having GiveWheel continue to power TIC (for the 2nd year) is hugely appreciated and reflects the value of working with partners who share our ambition to support participation and the wider endurance sport ecosystem.
We would also like to thank Stuart Walker and the team at World of Triathlon LIVE for their continued support and collaboration, particularly through Tri It Forward and our work to support emerging businesses within the industry.
Our thanks also go to the TIA Advisory Board for their time, experience, challenge and commitment to the Alliance. The Advisory Board provides an important industry perspective, helping us ensure that TIA continues to listen, evolve and focus on the issues that matter to members and the wider triathlon community.
And we are pleased to continue our partnership with the British Triathlon Federation, the UK Governing Body for Triathlon, recognising the importance of working constructively across the industry to support the continued development and growth of triathlon.
Building the future together
TIA is not simply a membership directory or another industry network or simply a conference.
It is about creating a genuine industry alliance > a place where businesses can connect, collaborate, educate, learn and help shape what comes next.
Membership growth, new communications channels, better data and insight, stronger links with RIA, new initiatives such as Tri It Forward, an expanded events calendar and increased opportunities for members to get involved are all part of the next stage of TIA's development.
TIA is growing. The community is growing. And the opportunity to make a difference together is growing with it.
To our existing Members, thank you for your continued support.
To our new Members, welcome > we are delighted to have you with us.
To our Tri It Forward cohort, we are excited to have you on the journey.
To our TIA Advisory Board, working groups, partners and collaborators, thank you for continuing to contribute your expertise, time and support.
And to GiveWheel, World of Triathlon LIVE powered by TriDot and British Triathlon Federation, thank you for continuing to work with us and support the wider industry.
We look forward to bringing everyone together at Triathlon Industry Conference powered by GiveWheel, 7th December, alongside The Running Conference presented by haku, 6th to 8th December..
