About Triathlon Industry Alliance
Connecting the people and organisations shaping the future of triathlon and multisport
Join the Triathlon Industry Alliance (TIA), bringing together the people and organisations shaping the future of triathlon. Connect, collaborate and grow with an industry community committed to innovation, inclusivity and a stronger future for the sport.
UK & Ireland | Global Reach
Triathlon Industry Alliance (TIA) brings together the people and organisations shaping the business of triathlon and multisport across the UK & Ireland, with global reach. Connecting events, brands, retailers, coaches, governing bodies, charities and service providers, TIA creates a collaborative space where the industry can share insight, build partnerships and shape the future of the sport together.
Through membership, research, data, networking, working groups and industry events, TIA helps businesses thrive while championing innovation, inclusivity and long-term growth across the triathlon ecosystem.
Our Purpose
TIA exists to help create a stronger, more connected and sustainable triathlon industry.
We believe the sport is at its strongest when the people and organisations within it work together > sharing knowledge, understanding the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, and creating meaningful partnerships that benefit businesses, participants and the wider sport.
TIA provides the platform for that collaboration and industry connection.
TIA & RIA > Working Together
Triathlon Industry Alliance (TIA) and Running Industry Alliance (RIA) confirmed a strategic partnership in July 2024, bringing the two industry alliances closer together. The operational merger was completed in March 2026.
TIA was originally founded as the Triathlon Industry Association in November 2011 and continues to serve the triathlon and multisport industry through its dedicated membership, research, events and industry activity.
Today, TIA operates within the wider RIA x TIA structure, sharing resources, knowledge, networks and infrastructure while maintaining a clear focus on the triathlon and multisport sector and its members.
The relationship reflects the natural connection between running, triathlon and the wider endurance sport landscape. Running sits at the heart of many triathlon journeys, creating valuable opportunities for collaboration across both ecosystems.
Together, RIA x TIA aim to:
Foster greater collaboration across the running, triathlon and multisport industries
Strengthen connections between organisations and industry leaders
Provide deeper research, data and insight to support better business decisions
Create opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking and collaboration
Drive long-term growth, innovation and sustainability across both sectors
Support the wider endurance sport landscape while remaining dedicated to each alliance's own industry
At the heart of the collaboration is a shared commitment to supporting the triathlon industry and its members, while enabling greater crossover and collaboration across the wider endurance sport ecosystem.
