Research produced exclusively for TIA Members

TIA research covers:

• An in-depth UK triathlon participation report. This involves in-depth analysis of race result (finisher) data. Modelling of race starts per-person enables an estimate of the base of triathletes in the UK. The final report covers a historic and current view (2018-2025) showing long-term and near-term trends for triathlon participation.

• Consumer / athlete research via the new Endurance Sport Survey 2026. This newly commissioned bonus report for RIA and TIA Members is a significant industry-wide survey designed to uncover attitudes, behaviours and opportunities across the endurance sport ecosystem from running and triathlon to fitness racing and beyond. Developed by RIA x TIA in collaboration with MultiSport Research, the Endurance Sport Survey 2026 explores the questions the industry most wants answered. The report has been shaped directly by Member feedback gathered at December’s conferences - The Running Conference (TRC) and Triathlon Industry Conference (TIC) - ensuring it reflects real priorities across the sector.

As a benefit for TIA Members, the research will be shared via webinars in 2026 to talk through the findings and answer any questions. TIA Members can leverage insights to help build their own business; and Members gain access to the research over their 12 month membership period.
